After 2-3 songs I always just kinda lay back and relax to do BS, when I could definitely be finishing more commissions but I just can't get myself to. I know you should still do work even without inspiration/motivation but it's easier said than done

Really great video, u know what you're talking about. I have a tips : Beatmaker can be paired with other musical related job. Audio engineer, recording ingeneer, DJ, Graphic artist etc ... Having a second skills related to making beats is super useful. Per exemple, I started DJing 2 years ago while i'm still making beats. The amount of connection and opportunity I had since is huge. I was able to meet people and give them physically my beats while having a human connection with them. Don't rely on simply making beats. If you have another skills, try to work on it !
